The popular consensus is that a long bitter campaign between Democratic candidates will erode the party with negativity. I disagree. I actually think it’s a plus. McCain is no longer news, and has nothing to do but cool his heels and schedule photo ops until August. Clintonites and the Obama Nation are fiercely loyal, and will be rallying relentlessly and making news every day.
Good point. But I think the news-making is exactly the issue that Rush thinks will work in McCain’s favor.
Rush looks forward to McCain’s having a wealth of attacks already launched against either Dem candidate (by the other) from which to draw, without having to actually make any of those attacks himself (McCain’s-self).
All the news making in which the two Dems are engaging will give the eventual winner a negative “history”/”aura.”
But there’s no point in my repeating what I said in the article, so I’ll just stop there. *grin*
