re Doom and Gloom

Weren’t we supposed to be living in the age of science, where people didn’t simply believe things because they heard other people say them?
Well, it turns out that the economy is not in a recession after all.
As if any of the doom-n-gloomers actually knew what the word “recession” actually means.
It’s so much easier to deal with problems (which the economy, whatever that is, seems to be having) when you actually label things correctly.
