Or rather, to the search terms used by some person or persons via which s/t/he/y ended up on my blog:
____
nietzsche the use and disadvantage of history for life the truth may be deadly
Indeed. Read “The Advantages and Disadvantages of History for Life” (or, “The Use and Abuse of History for Life.”
It’s one of his Untimely Meditations.
His argument is about “knowledge” more than “truth.” His claim is that a devotion to knowledge-for-knowledge’s-sake (fostered by the modern obsession with science) leads one to ignore the fundamental needs which a person/culture must fulfill to live and thrive.

and
micah pronunciation
“MY-kuh”
The “i” is long (as in “Mike,” “time,” “nigh”) and the “a” is pronounced as if it were a short-U (as in “bug,” “stuff,” “tundra”).
The emphasis is on the first syllable.
____
why plato is suks according to nietzsche
Plato is a bore, according to Nietzsche. At least, that’s what a t-shirt I was given claims Nietzsche said.
____
when should we use the long vowel sound
Usually you use the long version of a vowel when it is either (1) immediately followed by another vowel, or (2) followed by another vowel which is separated from it by single consonant.
However, this is not always the case. And that is said.
____

I have no idea.
____
how do you pronounce coach krzyzewski ’s name

____
micah meaning
“Who is like God (YHWH/Yahweh)?”
At least, that’s what it meant in its original form: “Michayahu,” which was shortened to “Michaiah” as a nickname and then translated as “Micah.” If I understand correctly.
____
The only difference between “Micah” and “Michael,” I believe, is that “Michael” means, “Who is like God (El)?”
“YHWH” is the personal name for the God revealed to Moses, and means the same as “I am the existing one,” or “I am self-existing,” or simply “I am.”
It’s essentially just the word for existence repeated twice (like the “Yo’s” in “Yo-Yo Ma” mean the same as “Friendship”), and therefore intensified, I understand.
“El,” on the other hand, is the general word for God in the ancient Semitic languages. (Cf. “Allah” in Islam.)
