And the Ticket Is an ORDERED List (UPDATED Again)

Despite my friendly progressive pacifist Mennonite fellow church members’ unwillingness to admit it on Sunday.
Indeed, it is interesting to consider the two tickets. The fresh but inexperienced candidate is at the top of the Democratic ticket; the experienced pol who, even after all these years, “calls it like he sees it” is at the bottom. With the GOP, it’s reversed. These tickets are mirror images of one another.
I think the reason so many people beyond my church are unwilling to admit that there are <ol> tags around “Obama”/”Biden,” and “McCain”/”Palin,” is that they’re sure McCain’s going to kick it on January 21st.
Strangely enough, however, Joe Biden won’t have to die for Obama to suddenly end up President. And that didn’t bother anybody on Sunday.
(You should have heard them arguing for Obama’s experience.)
(What? Experience does matter after all? And you didn’t vote Hillary . . . why?)

UPDATE Maybe I was wrong about Biden being Obama’s heir to the throne. Biden said yesterday:
Today is the moment for me as a United States senator running for president to put aside the national politics. . . .

UPDATE 2 James S. Robbins writes:
It’s interesting that Barack Obama is publicly making the argument that he has more political experience than Sarah Palin. Why does the top of the Dem ticket feel the need to run against the bottom of the GOP ticket? It diminishes him
