Vote Now, Lest We All Go Mad

My latest article is up at The Free Liberal.
That’s right. Even though the polls are starting to turn back in McCain’s favor, I think it would it would be best for America if the election were held today.

See… I don’t understand why American election campaigns last so incredibly long. I mean, what’s it been, about two years now? Shouldn’t the outgoing government be spending that time governing instead of campaigning? It is all very strange.
Our federal election was called on September 7 and we’re voting next week, on Oct 14. Wham, bam, thankyouma’am, here’s a new government (I hope!).
I totally agree, Micah. The debates are actually physically painful to watch. I groan when a question is asked, I wait in nervous anticipation to hear what McCain is going to say, followed by frustrated sighs, forehead slapping, etc.
It’s all so stressful. Let’s just get it over with.
I know that you have said that you do not support McCain (you said so in class). Have you changed your position?
Christine, this election cycle has been unusually long for some reason.
Just voted straight Democrat Ticket in the early primary.
Not surprising ;-)
