My issue is not whether we can change the world, but whether we can CHOOSE to change the world. If we’re cogs, the only choice we have is to accept the truth or not.

I was just referring to a particular situation, which I will not further identify. I realized that from the point of view of those in charge, I wasn’t a person.

The reason I got shut down every time I tried to express my feelings or opinions about something in that situation, was that I wasn’t a human being to the people shutting me down. I was just a cog.

And it was weird to realize that that was how other people were treating me.
