(Don’t you think?)
You may recall my recent discussions of the “Bizarre Ontology” that makes individuals responsible for things other people in their “group” do — even when they disagree with what those other people are doing — because it treats groups as the primary reality of which individuals are mere appendages or manifestations.
You also may [...]

While we’re on the subject of ontologies in which groups are seen as things . . . .
The Supreme Court decided yesterday that corporations are allowed to talk about politics after all.
Well, actually, five members of the Supreme Court decided that yesterday.
Of course, the real question isn’t should corporations be allowed to talk about politics, [...]

While I’m on the topic of terrorism, The Wife sent me a link to this article, called “Moderate Muslims? We’re Everywhere.”
It’s by Dr. Eboo Patel, director of Interfaith Youth Core, blogger for the Washington Post, and “member of President Barack Obama Administration’s new Faith Advisory Council” (Wikipedia).
In it, Dr. Patel expresses his frustration with the [...]

All I know about her is that she’s old and has been in the White House Press Corps forever.
That is, until today. Today she became my hero.
All I know about her now is that she’s old and has been in the White House Press Corps forever and she knows how to ask the most important [...]

And, it would seem, the 4th was something worth celebrating (by exploding pretty things in the air that everyone can see and hear for miles around).
(We party in [...]

As I was driving to Giant yesterday, I heard the announcement and got to thinking that this was just going to be more fuel on the fire of left-leaners’ revulsion at Palin.
(”She wanted us to vote for her, when she was going to up and quit!?”)
Then I got to thinking about how said “left-leaners” seem [...]

I was listening (on CSPAN Radio) to a congressional committee discussing the new health care bill everybody’s all worked up about.
A Republican committee member was talking, and said something about how Congress should be concerned about obesity.
I wanted to say, “Lead by example, fatty.” But that would have been a slur. Or, wait, scientists say [...]

Here’s the latest “poll question” on Politico.com:
Should President Obama repeal the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, allowing same-sex partners of federal employees access to health insurance and retirement funds?
As of the time I checked, 1743.28 people had voted “yes.”
One hates to disappoint 1743.28 people, but last I checked, Obama was the president, not the king.
Kings [...]
