Disclaimer 1
Whenever I write/speak, I take myself and my interlocutor(s) to be involved in a kind of Platonic dialectic.
In other words, I see what I say/write as one step in a conversation, during the course of which I hope my interlocutor(s) will help me to see any ways in which what I have written/said needs to be changed, improved, or renounced.
I never think my word is the last, so feel free to help me along.
Disclaimer 2
The opinions expressed in (or is it “on”?) this blog are not necessarily those of my wife. So just because I said it doesn’t mean the Tillman Household believes it.
In fact, if I believe something, it is likely that my wife does not. Unless what I believe sounds liberal/progressive to you. In which case, it may be that my wife agrees.
But, there being but two of us, there is often no majority on the myriad issues on which we so amicably disagree.
And, therefore, no one can win most of our weekly “Household Opinion Votes.”
And, therefore, the Tillman Household holds no opinion on most issues.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
Disclaimer 3
I neither speak for, nor are my views, opinions, or positions necessarily the same as those of, the School of Philosophy or The Catholic University of America.
I often don’t even speak for myself, since so much of the time I’m writing satirically or sarcastically.
But I do try to be fair, so feel free to comment if you think I’ve said something incorrect!
Philosophy is done in conversation, and if there’s one thing I like, it’s philosophy.
